  • Search Online (with caution)

  • Specific to certain groups

    • (veterans, LGBT, children/teens, etc.)

There is ALWAYS something new to try.

Tips:

  • Accept who you are
    if you're too hard on yourself, lighten up

  • Relax without guilt
    Find somethings you enjoy, do them often

  • Volunteer
    It can feel really good to help others

  • Connect with others
    It can be the last thing we want, but what we need most

  • Learn something new
    Read a book or learn a new skills

  • Move your body
    Just start with a jumping jack if that's all you can manage

  • Enjoy nature and the world around you

  • Avoid crutches
    Alcohol, tobacco, caffeine... Drugs may help you escape reality, but they make it much worse to come back to

  • Organize and manage your thoughts
    Stop hiding from your mind. YOU are in control

  • Don't give up!
