When & Where?

Join us for our 8th Annual Mental Health Fun Day on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Downtown Historical Park in Romulus, Michigan.

This event will be held rain or shine.

• Plan A: All vendors will be lined up along Hunt Street.

• Plan B (Moderate Rain): Everyone will move under the large pavilion at Goddard Road.

• Severe Weather Cancellations: The safety of our guests and vendors is our top priority. In the event of severe, unsafe weather warnings, a 50% refund will be automatically issued within 7 business days.

Deadline & Fees

Vendor spots are strictly limited by category to ensure a great turnout for everyone. Please submit your application as soon as possible to secure your spot.

• No applications will be accepted after 11:59 pm on Monday, August 31, 2026.

• Apply now, pay once approved. Due to volume of applications, please allow 5 business days for approval notice.

• If approved, you will receive a Wix invoice via email.

• Your spot is provisionally held for 72 hours after the invoice is sent.

• Standard 10'x10' Space Fee: $50 non-refundable fee (50% refund only upon event cancellation). More space may be negotiated for additional cost; please let us know in your application.

If it is not paid within those 72 hours, the invoice expires and the slot opens to the next vendor in your category. You may request a new invoice if space is still available, but your original spot is not guaranteed.

Space & Set Up Requirements

Each vendor will be assigned a standard 10'x10' space. More space can be negotiated for additional cost.

• Bring Your Own Gear: You must supply your own tables and chairs; canopy tents are recommended. Displays are allowed but please keep them inside your designated space.

• Tent Weights are Mandatory: Because the market takes place on concrete, no stakes are allowed. You must bring proper tent weights to secure your canopy.

• Electricity & Generators: Most spots do not have access to electricity. If you absolutely require power, please note it on your application. Quiet inverter generators are permitted, but you must notify us on your form so we can map out your placement accordingly.

 

Loading & Unloading?

• Setup begins at 10:00 AM. All vehicles must be moved completely off Hunt Street by 11:00 AM.

• Unload First, Setup Second. To keep traffic moving, please completely unload your vehicle at your spot, move your car to one of the parking areas, and then return to set up your booth.

• A vendor map with your assigned spot number and specific parking details will be emailed to you the week of the event.

• Early pack-up is not permitted in order to ensure the safety of our guests. All vendors are expected to remain completely open for business until the end. In the event of an unexpected personal emergency, please contact an event staff member first so we can help you safely exit the space.

Compliance Reminders

• Note that food, beverage, and body-product vendors (soaps/lotions) are entirely responsible for meeting Michigan Food laws or Wayne County Health Department guidelines.

• All items displayed or sold MUST be family-friendly. The sale or promotion of weapons, gambling, or reality-altering substances is strictly prohibited. MiLIFE reserves the right to remove any non-compliant items or vendors (fee will not be refunded).

Expectations

We are expecting 200 to 400 attendees this year (building on last year's 200).

To maximize profit potential for our ~30 total vendors, we strictly cap specialized categories (for example, only 2 apparel vendors or 3 crafts vendors). Spots are awarded to the first qualified applicants in each category, provided the invoice is paid within the 72-hour window.

Promoting

In order to target the specific audience to maximize sales, we have 2 Facebook Event pages; 1 for the Family Fun Day and 1 for the Vendor Show. For the 3-4 weeks leading up to the event we will do a big promotional boost with mailed postcards, ads, and social posts. We expect all attending vendors to post/share the event on their own socials at least twice. Once upon approval/payment and once right before the event. A promotional graphic will be provided to you, as well as shared on MiLIFE's socials.
